  Punk the picture in your origional O.P bought back so many memories.

  My first job leaving school was at Moss Bros, I placed my first bet at Ladbrooks, because a girl I was in love with worked there and I wanted to impress her ( that was a big thing to do for a 18 years old witness boy)

  Now I sometimes think of Mellisa, and if I had simply asked her out. But then again we would have had different views on every topic. Witness kids were different and we had bigger issues in our life's than teenage romance, and infatuation with a non witness girl.

  How does God view atheist and devotees?

  1) he views devotees with disgust; because they use god as a means to fulfillment of their materialistic ends, and they constantly pester him with request to violate his own laws (principle of action and consequence).

  hence devotees are materialistic in its true sense.

  they even interpolate things into scriptures to suit their convenienceas confirmed by prophet jeremiah himself (jeremiah 7:22; 8:8).

  My problem with the God in your O.P is that he hates most of his creation. He hates them, despises them. I mean I am only human and there are very few people I hate or despise, but on the contrary I find your God hates atheists, sinners,ect ect,ect,.

  And according to my interpretation of your O.P he seems so cold and lacks virtues and sanity that even the most wretched of humanity have.

  Interesting Topic Iconoclastic.

  Personally I once believed in a god, who I wanted to "feel" was the mysterious power over life and death. I discoverd his nonexistence in many biblical tales, and concluded God was clearly a psychological phenomenon.

  But maybe If there is a God, he knows I am right not to believe on an invisible God. The invisible cannot be prayed to, and it is idolatry to worship your own brain. Therefore, if there is a God,maybe he will view my being athiest, as ascetic, maybe regard me as the real Saint, part rebel, part hero, and maybe my reward will be to be declared righteouse?

  Or maybe God is an old man, his hearing has simply failed, and that is why he never answered my prayers? I guess much of life is just a mystery.

  science can explain how of things, but it cannot explain why of certain things (for example, why did life arise from non-life and evolved from simpler creatures to more complex life forms only to die and disappear?

  ) so are the conflicted religions whose chief concern is in safeguarding each ones separate identity..

  next option is to look for pearls among the stonesusing power of our own reason.

  Humanism and Witnisam.

  well it seems for many on this board the time came to leave the w.t and cross the bridge in to a real world.

  speaking for myself l feel i did not enter the cold and lonely world i was lead to believe i was entering.

  rather i have discovered it was no great loss leaving a world that had protected me with false, dreams, fantazy and false promises.. but what have i really achieved by my leaving that i value?.

  Implications of gay marriage ruling

  while many think that the ruling is good for the gays and their response is: how does that affect your marriage; then on the other side the religious people cry god and sinners.

  but both are missing the forest through the trees.. the problem with the ruling is that which is discussed here so many times.

  five unelected federal officials decided on policy for the whole country, running roughshod over every democratic principle.

  In my opinion it's all about projection and image. If we see people who have a sweet humanity, we will root for them. So I think the answer lies with the entertainment industry. If we are constantly bombarded with narcissist heroes like James Bond and the Bronson hero then people are presented with a very shallow image of masculinity. And I believe this effects a persons outlook on how they view masculinity and femininity.

  Another example we have a royal wedding and n T.V, its like a Walt Disney fantazy of how the perfect wedding should be.

  I generally believe the T.V is what holds the power of education.

  So let's have formal gay marriages complete with male bridesmaids on our T.V screens. Let's have these ceremonies seen not as something to be scorned by the world, but rather:-

  A) A marriage that enhances a persons character.

  B) A marriage that involves courage and moral choice, rather than to deny the feelings of love that exist between two people.

  So to conclude folks, I believe the entertainment industry holds the power to achieve a significant breakthrough in people's attitude on this subject.

  Has anyone seen the film " The Fake Mr Ripley?"

  The main character says " ITS BETTER TO BE A FAKE SOMEBODY, THAN A REAL NOBODY"

  New hominid Species Discovered in South Africa

  homo naledi has been added to our family tree but exactly where, is still to be discovered.

  read more here.... over 1500 fossils making up 15 separate individuals have been discovered in a cave near johannesburg.

  here are a few highlights of it's anatomy.... the skull was globular, like a member of our genus but the brain was small and primitive.

  like this: we all spent untold hours in the field service telling people (mostly christians) about the paradise earth.
